Tillamook Area Chamber of Commerce
The Tillamook Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit marketing and communications association that advocates for its member businesses. Over 3,000,000 businesses, nationwide, belong to Chambers of Commerce.
The Tillamook Area Chamber of Commerce has approximately 325 member businesses.
Why Should Your Business Become a Chamber Member?
Communications:
One of the most important values your business receives when you become a member is the opportunity to network with other business members.
The weekly morning coffees at local businesses, grand openings and monthly forums all provide opportunities to meet other chamber members in a casual environment.
The Chamber operates through various committees that are either function or issue oriented. All members are encouraged to participate on the committee of their choice. You become a partner with other leading business, professional and industrial leaders who care about the economic well-being of the area. A wealth of business opportunities and contacts will be available to you through participation on a Chamber Committee.
Marketing:
Chamber members participate in a wide variety of Chamber sponsored marketing programs – from the monthly newsletter and annual community business directory to the visitor-focused website “GoTillamook.com”. Direct advertising is available in all three programs.

Chamber members are encouraged to provide advertising material of their own for distribution to visitors at the Chambers Visitor Center. Our “Support Our Local Businesses” program encourages visitors and local consumers to purchase at local businesses.
Advocacy:
In 2007, the Chamber took a strong position in support of building a new community college to provide the skills necessary for local businesses. The new college was approved by the public. In 2007, all Chamber members were encouraged to support the adoption of “Oregon Solutions” to lead the effort to reduce local winter flooding in the area. “Oregon Solutions” was approved by State, County and City government.
Chamber membership is like most things – you get out of it - what you put into it.
