A modern transit system provides public transportation to most areas of the community, and recently approved Urban Renewal Districts will assure that future growth occurs in a planned and orderly manner.

The major industries of the area are Dairy - Forestry - Meat Processing -Tourism/Recreational Activities and Marine Fisheries.

The Tillamook area of the Oregon Coast runs from Manzanita on the north to Pacific City on the South. The largest town and county seat is Tillamook (Land of Many Waters). Highway 101 runs the length of the area and Highway 6, which terminates in Tillamook, is the direct and shortest route to Portland, Oregon.
